Save the Date for Yuri's Night – April 10 at the Discovery Center

Written by: developer

In 2015, the Space Foundation started its own Yuri’s Night celebration, a new tradition to launch Space Symposium week in Colorado Springs. In 2016, Space Foundation Yuri’s Night will be held at the Discovery Center on Sunday, April 10, ushering in the return of the world’s leading space professionals to Colorado Springs for the annual Space Symposium.

Yuri’s Night parties and events are held around the world every April in commemoration of the day of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin’s first manned spaceflight in 1961, and the inaugural launch of NASA’s Space Shuttle in 1981.

The 2015 Space Foundation Yuri’s Night drew a capacity crowd, with presentations by some of the leading astronauts who made U.S. space history.

Plan now to celebrate Space Foundation Yuri’s Night at the Discovery Center on April 10, 2016. The event is open to all adults, and is a fundraiser for STEM education.
