Space Foundation Receives Five 3D Printers from 3D Systems

Written by: developer

The Space Foundation applied for a grant through the Association of Science and Technology Centers and the Young Adult Library Services Association, resulting in five 3D printers for the Space Foundation Discovery Center in Colorado Springs from 3D Systems. This brings the total of 3D printers at the Discovery Center to nine, to be used for classes in 3D printing, school field trips specifically for 3D printing and for Discovery Center events.

The printers will also be used for Tesla's Toolbox. This new Space Foundation program brings young tinkerers to the Discovery Center one Saturday each month to tackle various projects. Learn more about Tesla's Toolbox here.
