Space Foundation to Present Huntsville Space Commerce Workshop

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 1, 2019) – The Space Foundation is hosting a one-day workshop on July 30 in Huntsville, Ala., to address the most common challenges companies face in growing their business. The workshop is one of a series offered by the Space Foundation, funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency.

In addition to the Huntsville workshop, the Space Foundation also has held Space Commerce workshops in Denver, Los Angeles, Houston, Daytona Beach, Washington, D.C., and El Segundo, Calif. Another workshop will be offered later this summer in Orlando, Fla., on Aug. 21.

Some of the topics to be addressed at the Huntsville workshop will include overview of the space commerce industry;positioning your company or product; customer discovery and value proposition; scaling and strategy; and partnering for investment. Training will focus on:

  • developing a company’s strategic engagement roadmap;
  • understanding how to differentiate a company and its products in the marketplace;
  • creating guidelines to best position a product/service with a customer base; and
  • establishing methods to ensure a company is able to adapt and grow.
