Statement on the Passing of George Abbey

“George Abbey’s leadership opened and defined new evolutions in spaceflight crews, spacecraft safety and operations and collaborative partnerships between countries and companies committed to the peaceful exploration of space. The word, “giant” is too small to describe his impact given the enormity of his contributions. Space Foundation extends its deepest sympathies to the Abbey Family, their friends and all in the space community who found themselves touched by his incredible career.”
