March 11 is New Art Contest Deadline

Students in PreK-12th grade are invited to enter the Space Foundation art contest, “Human Space Travel in the Year 2020.”
Students whose entries are selected for grand prize and first place will have the opportunity to meet former NASA astronaut Capt. Robert L. Curbeam, Jr., USN (Retired), when he announces the winners on Wednesday afternoon, April 13, during the 27th National Space Symposium, at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo. The contest is co-sponsored by ARES Corporation and Fisher Space Pen Co.
Original artwork depicting the theme “Human Space Travel in the Year 2020” should be submitted by March 11 to: Space Foundation, 310 S. 14th St., Colorado Springs, CO, 80904
Entries will be judged in four grade categories:
- PreK-2nd
- 3rd-5th
- 6th-8th
- 9th-12th
The contest will accept up to one entry per person in three categories:
- Drawing/Sketching
- Painting
- Multimedia
