Budget Reports for Fiscal Year 2013

Written by: developer

The Space Foundation produced several reports recently, providing overviews and comparisons of fiscal year 2013 budgets. The reports include overviews of:

  • Unclassified space-based and related programs requested in the Department of Defense’s FY 2013 budget in comparison with FY 2012 funds
  • The President’s FY 2013 budget request for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Environmental Satellite, Data & Information Service NESDIS). It compares the funds outlined in the Conference Report (Report 112-284) to the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2012 (P.L. 112-55), FY 2012.
  • The FY 2013 NASA budget, which compares the proposed funding rates for the agency’s programs versus the final FY 2012 spending bill Congress sent to the president and he signed. This report includes charts showing differences in not only the dollar amount but the percentage difference as well.

The Space Foundation also issued two congressional hearing reports regarding export controls and our nation’s global positioning system infrastructure. Read these reports from the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation hearing, as well as and other reports in the Space Foundation Research and Analysis section here.
