Space Foundation Co-Hosts ISU EMBA Dinner

The Space Foundation co-hosted a dinner on Feb. 29, 2012, for  International Space University (ISU) Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) program students from across the globe who were in Boulder, Colo., for a two-week education module focused on project management with an emphasis on space. Earlier in the day they participated in a tour of Lockheed Martin facilities in Denver that the Space Foundation helped arrange.

The dinner at The Fort,  an award-winning restaurant in southwest Denver, was also co-hosted by the Colorado Space Coalition and the Colorado Space Business Roundtable.

The attending students came from Oman, Nigeria, Germany, France, Belgium, Australia, Spain, the Isle of Man, Japan, Latvia, Canada and the United States. Local corporations participating included Rigor Engineering, The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin, Special Aerospace Services, Denver Metro Chamber, Beyond Aviation, ARES, SEAKR and ITT Exelis.  

About ISU
The Space Foundation works closely with ISU on education issues and outreach, including collaborating on and hosting university class sessions, presenting at ISU conferences, working with ISU students and providing data and information for ISU courses. ISU is frequently a National Space Symposium sponsor, often underwriting the commemorative space art poster. ISU provides space-related graduate-level at its central campus in Strasbourg, France, and at locations around the world. Its two-month Space Studies Program and one-year masters program cover all disciplines related to space programs and enterprises, space science, space engineering, systems engineering, space policy and law, business and management and space and society. Both programs include a team project providing students the opportunity to solve complex problems by working together in an intercultural environment. Space Foundation Vice President – Education Iain Probert holds an EMBA degree in space studies from ISU.
