First Fusion Forum to be Held in Conjunction with the 28th National Space Symposium

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 2, 2012) — The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) will present its first Fusion Forum with the goal of becoming an annual event that brings together top young minds from the United States and around world to discuss key space topics. Fusion Forum will take place in conjunction with the Space Foundation’s  28th National Space Symposium, and this year will be held April 15 and 16, the days leading up to the Symposium, at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Hosted by the Space Foundation with participation from The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Federal Aviation Administration’s Center of Excellence for Commercial Space Transportation and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Fusion Forum offers the next generation of space sector leaders from government, industry and academia the opportunity to come together to exchange views on current, hot space topics via interactive panels.

Fusion Forum attendees is a diverse group of top-notch, dedicated university students and young professionals in the space sector including government, industry and academia. The application process for Fusion Forum has closed.

At the 28th National Space Symposium, Fusion Forum delegates will participate in the Space Foundation’s New Generation Leadership Exchange and New Generation Networking Reception. The Leadership Exchange is a “speed networking” event where delegates will have the opportunity to interact with today’s top space sector leaders from government and industry. Attendees of the Fusion Forum will also have access to the Symposium’s opening ceremony and exhibit center opening reception.
