Today at the Discovery Center!

Free admission to anyone born in Colorado, today only at the Space Foundation Discovery Center in Colorado Springs. And meet the Stormtroopers and your other favorite Star Wars characters (courtesy of the 501st Legion). 

Saturday, Aug. 3, “Colorado Days” Family Activities at the Discovery Center

  • Free tote bag for first 150 children on Saturday
  • Free admission for Colorado natives 
  • Gift for families with three generations of native Coloradans 
  • Meet your favorite Star Wars characters
  • 11:00 a.m. presentation – “The First Space Race,” Colorado author Matt Bille will discuss his book of the same name
  • Displays and giveaways by Colorado companies
  • Design a Colorado-themed mission patch 
  • “Find My House from Space” activity
  • Launch stomp rockets
  • Science On a Sphere® demonstrations
  • Bounce house for young children

About the Space Foundation Discovery Center
Daily admission is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors (age 65+), $7 for college students with I.D., $3 for children ages 4-17. Children age three years and younger are admitted free. Admission is free with military I.D., to those impacted by Colorado wildfires and to first responders.

The Space Foundation Discovery Center is a collection point for Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado. The public may bring food donations to the Space Foundation Discovery Center between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays. Anyone bringing a food donation will receive a $2 off admission coupon to the Discovery Center. See more details here.
