Space Foundation Joins Space Angels Network Members Expedition 2014
Written by: developer
This fall, the Space Foundation participated in the Space Angels Network exclusive Members Expedition 2014 to Southern California space companies. The expedition toured the Mojave Air & Spaceport, plus companies located in Los Angeles, including SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, Masten Aerospace, XCOR Aerospace, Whittinghill Aerospace and Firestar Technologies.
The expedition offered unique insights into the private space industry. In addition to the tours, there were discussions with high-level representatives regarding each of the companies’ business models, milestones, growth path and strategies going forward.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Space Foundation and the Space Angels Network (SAN) to establish a mutually beneficial relationship and strategic partnership between the two organizations.
The SAN and the Space Foundation share a common interest in connecting private investors, financial analysts, investment bankers, institutional advisors, venture capitalists, insurers and others from the financial community with the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue with space industry leaders. They also share an interest in creating awareness about aerospace and defense financing and investment opportunities emerging from new commercial space ventures, as well as established space-related businesses.
