Volunteer Spotlight: Bena McClure

Written by: Space Foundation Editorial Team

These Volunteer Spotlight articles profile some of the interesting and dedicated people who make Space Foundation programs possible. We could not do the work we do without the generous and tireless support of our volunteers. This week, we are featuring Space Foundation Discovery Center volunteer Bena McClure.

Bena graduated from Oklahoma University with a BA in Anthropology in 1975 while working in the OU History Museum on campus. She went on to become an Ophthalmic Technologist and Surgical Assistant for Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City for 20 years. After five years in Boston and 10 in Arizona, she moved to Colorado Springs to retire in 2016, and joined the volunteers at the Discovery Center. Thank you for your time and dedication to the Space Foundation, Bena!
