COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Aug. 3, 2023 —  Space Foundation CEO Heather Pringle issued the following statement on the passing of Kathy Hybl:

“The Space Foundation team extends our deepest sympathies to the entire Hybl family and El Pomar Foundation on the passing of our friend and supporter Kathy Hybl. Kathy’s life was one of care and support for her community, the Pikes Peak region, and the State of Colorado. She had a kind heart, lived a generous life, and along with her family, set an extraordinary standard for us to follow in looking after our neighbors. Kathy Hybl will be remembered for her compassion for others and the difference she made for all of us.”
