On the morning of Jan. 30, Space Foundation CEO Tom Zelibor spoke on “The State of Space” at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Zelibor’s remarks to the group of 200 in attendance highlighted the roles, challenges and opportunities space has for our national, economic and educational security and explored the critical roles our public and private sectors, as well as students, teachers, taxpayers, investors and entrepreneurs, have in the next great human adventure in space.

On Jan. 26, the Space Foundation offered the second in its series of Space Commerce Opportunity Workshops with the goal of bringing minority business leaders into the greater space commerce community.

The workshop was held at the University of Southern California and the Space Foundation partnered with Southern California Commercial Spaceflight Initiative and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce for this event.

The Space Foundation has launched a new Space Commerce Speaker and Webinar Series, designed to help those who are interested in taking advantage of profitable business opportunities that are resulting from technological advancements driven by commercial space activities.
