Written by: Space Foundation Editorial Team
On Jan. 26, the Space Foundation offered the second in its series of Space Commerce Opportunity Workshops with the goal of bringing minority business leaders into the greater space commerce community.
The workshop was held at the University of Southern California and the Space Foundation partnered with Southern California Commercial Spaceflight Initiative and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce for this event.
In 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce and Space Foundation leadership signed an agreement for a grant from the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) to present a series of nationwide workshops to promote and enhance minority business owners operating in space commercialization industries.
Scientific discoveries resulting from space exploration have created new industries and technologies. These technological advancements of commercial space activities have also created profitable business opportunities.
Registration is now being accepted for these workshops:
- Houston, Feb. 5
- El Segundo, Calif., Feb. 21
