21st National Space Symposium excitement builds as exhibit center becomes largest in event history

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 13, 2005) — The Space Foundation announced today that the 34,000-square-foot Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. Exhibit Center will be the largest in the 21-year history of the National Space Symposium, which takes place April 4-7, 2005, at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. The symposium, hosted by the Space Foundation, is the premier annual space industry conference, and the Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. Exhibit Center will be a highlight of the event. “We sold out the exhibit center two months earlier than last year,” said Chuck Zimkas, chief operating officer for the Space Foundation. “The 2005 exhibit center is almost nine percent larger than in 2004. We sold out 30,000 square feet in September and had to expand the facility another 4,000 square feet to accommodate additional exhibitors.” Space-related organizations from around the world have contracted to place more than 120 exhibits in the Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp.
