Out-of-this-world job opportunities abound at Space Foundation's free Space Career Fair

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 3, 2005) — Job seekers can combine their education, talents and experience with an interest in space and learn more about employment opportunities in the space industry at the third annual Space Career Fair. Scheduled April 5 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, the Space Career Fair is hosted by the Space Foundation, its corporate members and sponsoring companies.

“The Space Career Fair addresses the space industry’s critical need of overcoming difficulties in attracting high-quality employees,” said Dr. Patricia Arnold, vice president of education and workforce development for the Space Foundation. “College students, transitioning military and entry-level aerospace personnel will benefit by meeting with representatives from the nation’s top space employers and learning about career opportunities in the space industry, including those that require technical and non-technical expertise.”

Admission to the Space Career Fair is free, and includes “Meet the Company” presentations with space industry representatives to discuss career opportunities and industry trends and needs; access to the Space Career Pavilion; a networking lunch; interview opportunities with leading space companies; and access to the Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp.
