32nd Space Symposium – A Social Affair

Written by: developer

The 32nd Space Symposium was more social than ever this year! The new mobile Space Symposium app was designed with social interaction in mind, and with over 1,500 users and 181,000 interactions, we would say it was a success. The app also allowed users to post directly from the app to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

The event hashtags #32SS and #SpaceSymposium both trended on Twitter throughout the week, as there was a lot to talk about. While thousands attend the Symposium every year, the tweets reached millions, over 20 million social media users around the world, in fact. We saw great photos on Instagram, tweets about Dr. Buzz Aldrin, Jeff Bezos, Gen. John Hyten and so many more on Twitter, blogs and Facebook posts about the amazing exhibits in the Lockheed Martin Exhibit Center and Pavilion. There was even an article about the Space Symposium social media buzz in Defense News!

If you were unable to attend, search hashtag #32SS & #SpaceSymposium to get a feel for this amazing event, and save the date for next year — #33SS is only a year away!
