Space Foundation names Kendra S. Horn manager of communication and media relations

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 24, 2007) — Today the Space Foundation named Kendra S. Horn manager of communication and media relations, effective Feb. 1. From its headquarters in Colorado Springs, Horn will lead the Space Foundation’s internal and external communications efforts in advancing civil, commercial and national security space and the Foundation’s education activities. Additionally, she will direct all media operations for the 23rd National Space Symposium and Strategic Space and Defense 2007 conference. Since 2005, Horn has served as manager of government affairs in the Space Foundation’s Washington, D.C. office, interfacing with the Administration, the Congress, the space industry, and relevant federal agencies. Prior to joining the Space Foundation, she worked on Capitol Hill as press secretary for Congressman Brad Carson, where she was responsible for national, regional, and local media queries and activities. Horn’s previous experience also includes practicing law in the areas of international trade, transactional, and business matters. Horn earned a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Tulsa.
