Collaboration is Key Symposium Message
Written by: developer
The need for better situational awareness, greater international cooperation, and more flexible systems and processes were common themes at the Strategic Space Symposium, held this Nov. 2-4 at the Qwest Center Omaha.
The event, which attracted more than 1,800 attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors, featured presentations from top military and industry leaders from around the globe. Presentations and interactive discussions focused on the importance of space assets for supporting on-the-ground tactical military operations, also touching on how those assets are used for non-military activities such as natural resource management, policing drug trafficking, monitoring space debris, and keeping businesses running throughout the world.
Presented through a Space Foundation/United States Strategic Command partnership, the Strategic Space Symposium was specifically designed to encourage collaboration, conversation, and creative interchange between the private sector and the government on challenging space operations and warfighter issues. Throughout the event, attendees and speakers were seen networking in the AMERICOM Government Services Exhibit Center, discussing critical space operations issues in small-group track and breakout sessions, and listening attentively to featured speakers and panels during the main sessions.
