Space Foundation has Four Papers at IAC

Space Foundation Research Analyst Mariel John will present four papers at the 61st International Astronautical Congress (IAC) this month in Prague, Czech Republic.
Sponsored by the International Astronautics Federation (IAF), the IAC is a well-established conference that attracts an average of 3,000 high-level space decision-makers every year. John’s will be among the almost 1,600 papers being presented. The week-long event hosts more than 100 technical sessions, allowing attendees to gain information about current space projects, programs and related technologies, while also networking and promoting their own activities, achievements and products.
The papers that have been selected for presentation are related to white paper topics that have previously or are currently being developed by the Research and Analysis group at the Space Foundation. The first two papers, “Space Applications for International Development” and “Development and Operation of Space-Based Disease Early Warning Models,” highlight white papers produced by the Space Foundation, elevating awareness of these efforts. The third paper, “Analysis of Climate Change and Satellite Policy in the United States” is a potential topic for a future white paper. The fourth paper, “Analysis of Global Space Budgets and Revenue” will present the findings of The Space Report 2010: The Authoritative Guide to Global Space Activity to the international community of researchers
