Space Foundation Announces Changes to its Board of Directors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 29, 2018) – The Board of Directors of the Space Foundation met on Oct. 25 and approved the following changes to its Board, effective Oct. 25.

Space Foundation to Expand Discovery Center Education Complex with Support from El Pomar and Grapevine Investments

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct 17, 2018) – The Space Foundation has closed on space to nearly triple the size of its Discovery Center education complex in Colorado Springs. The additional 85,319 square feet at 4435 Arrowswest Drive adjoins its current building at 4425 Arrowswest Drive and will expand the total space from 45,716 square feet to 131,035 total square feet.

Space Foundation and Petit Family Foundation Offer Free Girls STEM Experience in Hartford

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 9, 2018) – Thanks to a partnership with the Petit Family Foundation, the Space Foundation is extending its STEM education outreach to the greater Hartford, Conn., region this school year.

The Hartford STEM initiative will launch on Saturday, Oct. 27, with a free Girls STEM Experience for local girls ages 12 to 18, to be held at the Connecticut Convention Center from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Premier sponsor for the event is Aetna.

Submit Abstracts Now for Space Symposium Tech Track

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 8, 2018) – The Space Foundation is now accepting abstracts for papers to be presented at the Tech Track of the 35th Space Symposium.

Much like the main Symposium program, Tech Track will include featured speakers and a series of 20-minute “tech talk” presentations selected from a wide variety of submissions. The Tech Track sessions offer registrants an opportunity to hear from government and industry leaders in space technology development.

Space Foundation Joins Italian Partners for New Space Economy Expoforum 2019

(Oct. 3, 2018) – While attending the 69th edition of the International Astronautical Congress in Bremen, Germany, Space Foundation CEO Tom Zelibor signed an agreement with Italy’s Fiera Roma and Fondazione Amaldi to organize the first European forum dedicated to the global development of projects and technologies derived from the space industry.
