Panel Discusses Space Policy at Space Power Caucus Event

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May. 21, 2008) — On May 21, the Space Foundation and the National Defense Industrial Association hosted the second Congressional Space Power Caucus Breakfast of 2008 in Washington, D.C. The breakfast featured a panel discussion about a national security space strategy. The panel was moderated by Dr. Michael O’Hanlon, senior fellow, foreign policy, The Brookings Institute. Panelists were Ms. Davi D’Agostino, director, defense capabilities and management, Government Accountability Office, Mr. Joseph Rouge, director, National Security Space Office, and Mr. David Svetz, associate deputy director of national intelligence, technical collection, Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
The Congressional Space Power Caucus is a bi-partisan, bi-cameral caucus, which works to promote a greater awareness and understanding about national security space issues. Participants in the breakfast included members of Congress from both sides of the aisle and both houses of Congress, senior national security space military and civilian leaders, key congressional staff, and senior industry representatives.
