Space Foundation Asks What If? About Aliens
Written by: developer
The Space Foundation will teach children about the natural world at The What IF… Festival of Innovation and Imagination with an exercise in which the children “build” aliens and then have to consider the environmental forces that shaped their creatures.
The festival will fill more than six square blocks of downtown Colorado Springs, Colo., from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, with activities demonstrating and encouraging innovation, imagination and creativity.
The “Create an Alien” exercise (which can be downloaded from the Space Foundation website) is used in Space Across the Curriculum courses and STARS programs to demonstrate how life forms are shaped by and adapt to their environments.
