Space Commerce Institute and GEN Space Sign Partnership Agreement To Expand Opportunities for Entrepreneurs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Nov. 30, 2022 — Space Foundation, a nonprofit advocate organization founded in 1983 for the global space ecosystem, announced that its Space Commerce Institute recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Global Entrepreneurship Network – Space (GEN Space) to explore collaborative opportunities to further support the space workforce and entrepreneurial supply chain.

The MOU provides a framework for the partnership between Space Foundation and GEN Space to examine joint ventures that will support the growing space economy.

GEN Space’s mission is to stimulate the creation of startups and scale-ups focused on entrepreneurial opportunities in space by connecting, advising and inspiring entrepreneurs and the future workforce.

Space Foundation and GEN Space have agreed to collaborate in the following areas:

  • GEN Space will explore ways to leverage and utilize Space Foundation programs and services to meet the evolving needs of those they serve.
  • GEN Space and Space Foundation will explore ways to develop unique collaborative programs for new customer sets.
  • Space Foundation and GEN Space will continue dialogue around sharing programs, resources and networks to the benefit of stakeholders.
